Future ARK Wildlife Rehabilitation & Nature Center

Plans are currently underway to build the Arkabutla Lake Wildlife Rehabilitation and Nature Center that is located on 154 acres in Desoto County, MS. The 25 year land lease made possible by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers will allow MWR, Inc. to establish a center the first of its kind in the area! Open to the public, the "ARK" currently has 2 miles of hiking trails with interpretive signage, a 5,000 square foot Education Pavilion, an Education Stage, Wildflower gardens and exercise stretch station.

The future ARK, will allow for hands-on exhibits, outdoor classrooms, a rehabilitation location of injured wildlife and house our Education Birds of Prey which includes the goal of adding a Bald Eagle to our ambassadors. We encourage you to visit the ARK and for ways you can help make this dream a reality please feel free to reach out to us with any questions!
